1. You need to submit your grades from all secondary schools attended. You are required to send the final grades for Grade 10, 11, and 12. (Grade 13 if applicable). Since you might be applying before the completion of your secondary school, we understand that the grade report will be partial or incomplete. In other words, you might apply prior to March 1, or months prior to your anticipated completion or graduation date, which may be in June or July. We will review your grades up to the point listed on your transcript and make an admission decision based only on the grades we have received up to that date. If admitted, you will be required to submit a full grade record or transcript that indicates the completion of your secondary school.
2 .We evaluate your application in a holistic approach. But a score of 600 in math is generally considered competitive.
3. We do not require SAT subject examinations, but students who take these tests and submit high scores are favorably viewed during the admissions process. 5. The TOEFL is not required if English is your native language, but it is definitely required if English is not your mother tongue.
6. Applicants whose native language is not English are required to meet one of the following requirements:
A minimum TOEFL score of:
• 550 for paper-based testing (p-BT); or
• 213 for computer-based testing (c-BT); or
• 80 Internet-based testing (i-BT)
Instead of the TOEFL, applicants may demonstrate a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 overall band or a minimum score of 500 on the Critical Reading part of SAT or 19 on the English part of the ACT.
7. Yes. An overall band score of 6.0 is required.
8. TOEFL and IELTS scores are valid for 2 years. SAT and ACT scores are valid for 5 years. If the validity of the scores you present is in question, you may ask an Admissions Officer to assist you in verifying their validity. You may be asked to take certain tests again if they were deemed to be invalid.
9. Applicants who have a minimum score of 500 on the critical reading part of the SAT or a score of 19 on the English part of the ACT.
10. You would need to include your academic and non-academic accomplishments, achievements and recognitions. These areas include extracurricular activities, leadership roles, community service, awards, talents, and employment.
11. We require that candidates take the most rigorous curriculum offered at their respective secondary schools, so if A-levels are offered at your school, we expect that you complete at least 3 A-levels. The A-level courses are usually in advance mathematics, physics and chemistry.
